How long does it take to see results from the treatment of acne?
The average person will see results in as early as 3 days, though it may take up to two weeks, depending on the degree of acne you have and how much oil your skin produces. Results vary depending upon the individual.
My face is breaking out worse since using this product, why?
Determine if customer is experiencing a break out or an irritation.
Breakout:
Most dermatologists will tell you that with the treatment of acne your face may get worse before it gets better. This is because the AcneFree is drawing the bacteria and impurities from the bottom of the pores to the surface so they can be eliminated.
Irritation:
Mild irritation after using AcneFree 2 or more days may be reduced by using the product less frequently, such as only once a day instead of twice a day, or in a lower concentration. If this happens, discontinue use until skin is clear of any irritations. Then resume using the AcneFree once daily.
Acute Irritation:
If AcneFree causes irritation such as redness, burning, itching, peeling or possible swelling after first use, discontinue use.
AcneFree is clearing my acne, but now I have red, itchy bumps. What should I do?
If you experience itchy bumps or redness the first time you use AcneFree, you may be sensitive to the Benzoyl Peroxide. If this happens, stop using the products for a couple of days. When your skin begins to clear, resume the treatment of acne using the Purifying Cleanser and Renewing Toner daily. To slowly build-up a tolerance for the Benzoyl Peroxide, begin using the Repair Lotion twice a week. Gradually increase nightly usage of the Repair Lotion, as tolerated. If redness persists, discontinue use and consult your physician.
Will AcneFree clog my pores?
No. AcneFree is formulated to be non-comedogenic, which means it is non-pore-clogging.
Is AcneFree effective for all Skin Types?
Yes. AcneFree is acne control for all skin-types. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to try a spot test to be sure it will not irritate your skin. If you experience redness, itchiness, or irritation that seems excessive, discontinue use. If symptoms persist, consult your physician.
How do I apply the AcneFree?
For treatment of acne, first use the purifying cleanser. Apply a small amount of the cleanser to your skin and gently massage. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Next apply the Renewing Toner. Use a cotton pad to apply this all over your face, avoiding your eyes. Do not rinse off. Allow time to dry before applying the Repair Lotion. Again, use a clean cotton pad and apply a small amount onto your face, in a thin layer, avoiding your eyes. Now you can apply your moisturizer or make-up over the top of the AcneFree.
Will AcneFree cause discoloration on my face?
AcneFree should not cause skin discoloration so long as you avoid unnecessary sun exposure. Because of the Peroxide in AcneFree, excessive sun exposure could cause blotching and/or dark spots.
Can I go out into the sun after using AcneFree?
Yes. It is recommended to use a sunscreen with minimum of 15 SPF, though you don’t want to expose yourself to the sun unnecessarily, as the Peroxide in AcneFree could cause blotching and/or black spots with excessive sun exposure.
What about using Suntan Beds or Tanning Salons?
It is not recommended to use Suntan Beds or Tanning Salons for the treatment of acne while using AcneFree as the Peroxide in AcneFree could cause blotching and/or black spots.
Can make-up and/or moisturizers be used with AcneFree?
Yes. It is recommended to use an oil-free moisturizer for acne control, such as the one available in the AcneFree line of products, and a low oil content make-up. Both make-up and moisturizer should be applied after the repair lotion.
Will AcneFree always be available in retail?
Yes. AcneFree will always be available in retail stores. We sell our products to Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, Target, Costco and Sam’s Club. You may contact our Customer Service Department for a full listing of the companies we sell our products to.
How does AcneFree compare to ProActiv?
AcneFree contains a higher percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide that is in a time-release formula that works around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for acne control and keep you acne free. This equates to a stronger bacteria-fighting formula. The ProActiv formula is not time-release. Also, AcneFree is available for half the price of ProActiv.

The Repair Lotion is gritty. Is it supposed to be that way?
Yes, Step 3 does have a grainy texture to it due to the encapsulated time-release Benzoyl Peroxide.
The Cleanser doesn’t feel like it is exfoliating. It seems more watery or lotion-like. The Cleanser doesn’t seem to lather.
The Cleanser is a more gentle exfoliating cleanser. The dead skin cells will actually come off in the rinse. AcneFree doesn’t foam up or lather in a big way. It is more of a lotion-type cleanser.
The Last Kit I purchased had a different texture in the Cleanser and/or Repair Lotion. Are they mixed up?
Because we have 2 different companies that fill our products for treatment of acne, the texture of the cleanser and the lotion may vary from time to time. If the product is milled (stirred) at a higher speed, the product will come out thicker and more granular. If it is milled slower, it will be thinner and less granular. Because there are 2 separate machines doing the milling, the settings are not exact. The products will still have the same effectiveness for acne control.
Can I use a different toner or cleanser with the AcneFree?
Because these products have only been tested to work with each other, we do not recommend using other toners or cleansers with the lotion, as you may not experience the excellent results that have been seen with the AcneFree Kit.
I seem to use more of the Cleanser, Toner or Lotion than the other products. Can I buy them individually?
Yes! You can purchase the products individually for treatment of acne. They are available for $7.95 each plus $1.95 Shipping and Handling for each additional product with the Auto-ship program, or $9.95 + $6.95 Shipping and Handling without the Auto-Ship program. The individual products are also available in retail stores, though it is in a limited amount of them at this time. Some Target & Wal-Mart stores carry the individual bottles.

Ages 12-15:
Step 1 is okay to use once a day for effective acne control.
Step 3 should be tested on a small area for 3-4 days due to the strength of the benzoyl peroxide and the skin on a younger person has not been exposed to the elements long, and is possible to become irritated
